Evolving into a sportier, more sophisticated design
The shell design emphasizes the streamlined shape from the front to the back of the helmet, and the ventilation parts give it a sporty look. The shell-integrated rear spoiler and the ribbed shapes on both sides of the shell add accents to the design, creating a sophisticated form.
J-Cruise 3 Aerodynamic PerformanceComparing the
aerodynamic performance of the J-Cruise 3 to the conventional model in an environment equivalent to 100km/h, the J-Cruise 3 showed an improvement of approximately 5.5% in lift, the tendency of the helmet to lift upward, and approximately 4% in drag, the tendency of the helmet to be pushed from the front. (Reference figures from our large-scale wind tunnel facility)
Interior
Interior design that provides the convenience and comfort of a jet helmet
The interior surface fabric is a hybrid of highly absorbent and quick-drying fabric and brushed fabric. The soft brushed fabric is used on the top of the helmet, which is likely to rub against the skin when putting on and taking off the helmet, and the highly absorbent and quick-drying fabric is used on the forehead and
other areas where sweat is likely to accumulate. In addition, the bottom part of the cheek pads, which are more likely to get dirty and damaged by rain than other parts, is made of highly durable synthetic leather material.
The top of the center pad is a pocket type that allows you to fine-tune the fit by inserting an optional adjustment pad.
PFS PERSONAL FITTING SYSTEM
*Although it is possible to fine-tune the fitting with optional adjustment pads, the SHOEI Personal Fitting System (PFS) allows for detailed adjustments to create the best fit for each individual head. PFS is a service provided at SHOEI Gallery and SHOEI technical shops nationwide (fees apply).
shield
CJ-2 Shield
CJ-2 shield optimized for jet helmets
Equipped with a CJ-2 shield that realizes clear visibility with minimal distortion by changing the partial thickness and curvature. Designed to be optimized for jet helmets, the rib at the bottom end minimizes wind intrusion from under the shield. In addition, the rib increases the rigidity of the shield and suppresses deflection when opening and closing, achieving smooth operability. As with the
conventional model, it is equipped with a slightly open shield position. By setting it to the slightly open position when driving at low speeds, it ventilates the inside of the helmet and contributes to removing fogging from the shield.
Shield Lock
Simply closing the shield fully locks it in place, preventing accidental opening. To open the shield, simply push it outward from the inside to release the lock.
Anti-fog sheet visibility comparison
An anti-fog sheet for the shield is included as standard equipment. It prevents the shield from fogging up even in environments where the shield is prone to fogging, such as when riding in the rain or in low temperatures, and ensures a clear field of vision.

Sun visor
QSV-2 Sun visor
Inner sun visor with high optical performance
The sun visor can be lowered to reduce the glare of the sun when riding during the day, and when entering a tunnel, the sun visor can be instantly stored with the operation of a lever and switched to a clear shield, allowing you to respond to various changes in visibility in the environment.
The QSV-2 sun visor boasts high optical performance comparable to the European sunglasses standard EN1836, achieving a less distorted field of view. The sun visor operation mechanism uses a strong wire, allowing you to operate the sun visor smoothly.
In addition, to prevent the sun visor from suddenly lowering due to vibration, the lever operation at the sun visor's fully raised position is equipped with a click feeling and a stopper function.
Ventilation
Pursuing ventilation performance that allows the rider to stay comfortable and concentrate on riding
The J-Cruise 3 has been through repeated testing in our own large-scale wind tunnel testing facility, and we have achieved high ventilation performance by strengthening and streamlining the performance of both the air intake that draws in the wind while riding into the helmet, and the air outlet that expels hot air from inside the helmet.

The number of outlet holes has increased by one from the previous model, to three. In addition, the shape of the parts that improve exhaust efficiency was determined through verification in our own large wind tunnel facility, achieving a significant improvement in exhaust performance of approximately 70%* compared to the previous model in an environment equivalent to 100km/h.

New micro ratcheting chin strap
New micro-ratchet chin strap for a compact and improved fit
The micro-ratchet chin strap allows you to fasten and release the chin strap even while wearing thick gloves. Made of durable stainless steel, it has evolved to be compact and lightweight while retaining the safety design that holds the chin strap in place with two claws when fastened. The strap is made of high-strength, high-elasticity functional fibers woven into it, making it slimmer while still maintaining its strength, improving the fit when fastened.
SHOEI COMLINK
Specially designed to blend in with the helmet design. Compatible with communication system.
The specially designed mounting mechanism equipped on communication system compatible models has been conceptualized as "SHOEI COMLINK", and the J-Cruise 3 is also a SHOEI COMLINK compatible model.
The mounting part has become more compact, enhancing the sense of unity with the helmet design when the communication system is installed.
